Located at Qufu City, Kong Family Mansion is adjacent to Confucius Temple. It is the residential area for “Yanshenggong” Confucius's lineal-descent offspring. Second only to the palace in the Ming and the Qing Dynasties, it is the largest mansion, occupying an area of 160,000 square meters. The existing architectures number 463, including halls, towers and windowed verandas. It is divided into three routes in the middle, east and west. The temple in commemoration of Confucius stands in the east. The academy is located at the west. The main buildings sit on the axis. There are plentiful cultural relics, among which “ten utensils in the Shang and Zhou Dynasties” are the most famous. They are bronze sacrificial vessels originally collected in the palace, and given by Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty.
